Amazed at the results so far. But now I need the logic that ties things together.
The 'Feddoc' exercise has reached a milestone. After spending three workdays configuring BSD to host CGI like software components that are written and work; I have the httpd server side of the application functional.
Believe me it is typical BSD for which the help is often quite sparse. Won't go into the annoyances to be experienced 'Googling' an OpenBSD specific problem and being deluged with help sites filled with the endless responses from clueless well intentioned enthusiasts...typical thing that has evolved into near complete hopelessness over the years. Not naming names here.
I have learned a few things too...did not know that one of the arguments to main included "envp" which appeared in the C standard in 2011 (ISO/IEC 9899:2011). Seems to work fine, though some (professor online) commented that it can't be depended on. I am using OpenBSD/UNIX, believe me it *can* be depended on.
At any rate it's late. The next stage is to spend some time away from the keyboard in order to decide on how the Verb parts of the programs will be designed to utilize the Noun parts. Screen closeup here (click).
Inshallah. More to come.
